The Plastic Monster

This is a campaign made for Norwegian Maritime Authority and Marfo! I'm the guy behind developing the monster design, animation and vfx it into the shots.

It’s about an unforgettable fishing trip that takes an unexpected turn. Meet two friends: one, a carefree individual who nonchalantly tosses fishing net stubs and plastic waste into the ocean, and the other, deeply concerned about the repercussions of such actions. As the debris gets flung overboard, the conscious friend warns about the ominous 'plastic monster' they are unknowingly nurturing.

The tension rises until an unforeseen event occurs – a colossal monster emerges from the depths. A creature made of discarded sea junk, fishing nets. The creature casts a curious gaze upon the duo, that sending chills down their spines.

The video was a mega-hit! In just one week our video with nearly 400,000 views across various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, and TikTok. The overwhelming response speaks volumes, with our content resonating across audiences.

On the Fiskeridirektoratet (Directorate of Fisheries) Facebook alone, we've garnered over 2,000 likes and are over 800 shares. It's thrilling to witness how a playful yet thought-provoking video can strike a chord with so many.

In four weeks we hit nearly 1 400 000 organic plays on different platforms.
