New work published to my site!
This is a story about creating the first hydrogen ship in Norway. In the directors cut there are some small changes just to tighten the story.
Hi, we are now at the end of the year. And what a year, both the best and the worst. With Covid and all. But this year I have had the opportunity to produce so many great thing and I can’t wait to get everything online (just need to find the time). I’ve done huge project, had a lot of fun, and stuff that didn’t go that well. Jumped on new possibilities and I guess missed a few.
So here it is, a Christmas card, from me to you. Hope you have a good, quiet, healthy and fine festive season!

Sometimes is fun to help people be entertained. And this time we (Julian Forthun, Erlend Bjelland from Absurd Film hit the nail on it’s head. Only positive response on the video (released yesterday).
Take a look at this (they are in Norwegian):
So a lot of short in a 3d shoots, vfx stuff in a short amount of time!
Yes, this is an unusual subject for my site, but it’s my platform so here we go.
I have a Björksnes bed that started to make squeaky noises. I’ve tried to tighten every knot but in short time the noise came back.
But finally, I found the noise, and an easy fix.
When you build the bed, you have a metal bar that goes across. This has two thinner bars that goes across in the other direction. Hand where these meets, there’s the problem. Metal against metal isn’t a god combo.
I’ve updated my site with small GIF animations.
Yes good old GIFs, the easiest way to create a moving images, when it’s not clean graphics. I’ve done a lot of web-animation that are SVG based and way more flexible and economic in “physical” size, but sometimes it’s only GIF that delivers.
And in this case I wanted to show some logos in context.
So how to make simple and quick GIF without pulling all your hears out?
A GIF are usually horrible to work with, in Photoshop, but with the simple plug-in for After Effects called GifGun it’s possible to fine tune and create a GIF that looks good and don’t end up as a 60 MB behemoth.
All the examples are from 500 KB to 2 MB.
A last trick is to only have a small part of the image that moves, so the freezed parts are only rendered ones.
So say hello to some simple and great updates to web-animation page :)
I’ve added a some projects to the site and you can read much more if you click on the images :)
Together with Guilty we created a Power identity for Vimond. The project were strategy and concept driven to find the right solution for Vimond.
I’ve done a lot of work with Kunzt, and now also an identity upgrade.
For Prisonmade I made this video showing their logo identity
I’ve made a new version of my post popular graphic over at Society6, I call this abstract pattern, Late Summer - Apple.
I helped Stacc creating a show reel. They work in Banking, and other systems and are basicly only screen based. I came up with a concept to work with called; all the screens. Screens can be really static and I had to make that interesting and different. This ended up with many different devices floating around in a red Stacc void showing some of their solutions.
